Two pounds up? What is that all about? I had one day this weekend that I ate two hot dogs on regular bread and a french toast thing but I was outside all day doing yard work so I thought I could make the bad eating slide.
This is going to take me so long. I really have to focus my mind on the fact that this could take a year or more. I knew that starting out but its really hitting me hard now. I know it could be water weight, but its very disheartening to see the scale go up instead of down.
I'm going to try and not be discouraged. I am going to find my strength in God and just keep doing my best.
The night before last I had a peanut butter and honey sandwich right before I went to bed. That could be the reason for the weight gain as well.
Darn you peanut butter!!!!!!!!

These things will happen over and over again. Don't get too discouraged. Do your best to get back on track by one goal at a time. And you aren't alone I am up 2 pounds too after this weekend. Yesterday and today my calories are too high. But I realize this and will try to do better tomorrow. And as for today, I am going to try to drink as much water as I can. Chin up. It will be a slow process but it will be worth it in the end. :)
Yes I can tell a difference in how I feel even before the scale tells me I did bad. Sometimes it just happens. Just make up your mind you in it for the long haul and do it. You will start feeling so much better after you and others can tell a huge difference.
Keep plugging along Rebekah! Every day is a new day and all you can do is stay focused and keep going.
Have you incorporated exercise yet? I found this time that incorporating exercise first and then really focusing on my diet is having a much better effect.
You have your mind in the right place now and in the end that is what matters, because as long as you keep believing you can do it you will!
Don't beat yourself up over it. You can do it.
I agree. Excersize even the smallest amount like 10 minutes a day can make a great impact on weight loss. Plus, when I excersize, I feel stronger and more confident about myself. Keep up the good work sis.
I want to be skinny NOW. Like RIGHT NOW. I think it is just dawning on me how long this is going to take. This is not going to be a quick fix... we're in this for a long time. And I'll stay with you, please stay with me! We can do it!!
ok,, take this for what you will but if you deprive the body of enough calories it will hold onto everything it gets and keep it stored.... Im thinking 1400 calories a day is not enough for you! I was eating 1600 a day at 180lbs and I was still loosing weight... I think you need to take your cals up a bit.... but i know you are following a certain plan.. so I could be wrong...
Stay strong cousin and dont forget to take advantage of that gorgeous colorado weather and 3 fewer children and get your long walks in....you'll notice a difference.
Love you forever
cindie
I agree with mak'n changes, 1400 is not nearly enough. The funny thing is, if you eat the RIGHT stuff you can eat as much as you want! Make a list and put it on your fridge of the "good stuff" and eat to your heart's content...it helps to be positive rather than negative ( not what I cant eat but what I can)
veggie of any kind, oranges, berries, Granny smith apples (low in sugar), nuts of any kind (except chocolate covered :), meat/poultry/fish of any kind, and cheese. Absolutely nothing has worked for my husband, even starvation like diets, but when he followed this perfectly for a week he lsot 10 lbs, then 30 lbs in six weeks. Im rooting for you Rebekah :) I watched my husband suffer for 6 years and it was so heart breaking, he is a different person now.
